Corporate Challenge
What is it?
The QEF Corporate Challenge is a Dragon’s Den meets the Apprentice competition that challenges teams of up to seven junior management employees to raise money for Queen Elizabeth’s Foundation for Disabled People.
The corporate challenge will see teams of employees compete to turn an initial investment of £150 into a profit of at least £1,500.
How does it work?
Teams do this by planning, promoting and implementing mini entrepreneurial activities. The challenge will see a host of teams from across Surrey; over a six-month period, compete against each other to make the most profit.
What will participants gain?
The corporate challenge offers employees the chance to network, raise their profile and raise money for charity, whilst testing their business acumen and entrepreneurial skills.
The team that raises the most money will be given a money can’t buy experience at a selected QEF 75th Anniversary event and a winners trophy.
What will the organisation gain?
This is a unique way to improve your staff proficiencies in leadership, team working, planning, negotiation and confidence, whilst offering your organisation significant profile building opportunities with the Surrey Advertiser.
What support will each team get?
Business personalities from across Surrey will provide mentoring support to the teams and provide the seed funding to help them achieve the £1,500 target.
How much will it cost?
The seed funding will initially be sought from the mentors, however if this is not possible then the organisations to which the employees work will be required to make the investment.
How much time will each team need to dedicate to the challenge?
This will depend on the activities each group decide on. It would be recommended that each would need to meet independently at least once a month over the duration of the challenge.
