Introduction to driving assessments
The Mobility Centre offers a rehabilitative approach to driving. We will help you to drive if it is safely possible and there are two types of assessment to suit different needs.

A Car Adaptation assessment offers advice on use of controls and enables you to try out adaptations if required.

A Driving Ability assessment is a comprehensive review of your driving ability and traffic management skills. For learners with special needs this assessment evaluates your potential and will provide your instructor with all the information required to tailor tuition to suit you.
The initial assessment is followed, if appropriate, by specialist tuition and a concluding recommendation. The driver receives a comprehensive written report.
