Road Safety Officers
We offer specialised training to Road Safety Officers from around the country who have an interest in working with the disabled and elderly population. This 1-day course is for those wishing to acquire increased knowledge of the issues involved. Through lectures and practical workshops, assisted by volunteers with a disability, knowledge is gained of common disabilities and age related conditions and how these may affect driving. Familiarisation with car adaptations and an introduction to 4mph scooter safety training is also provided
ADI Course
A three day course for qualified driving instructors who are looking to further their careers and develop confidence in the rewarding role of teaching people with disabilities to drive. This course will open up a new client base for your driving school and increases your job satisfaction from enabling this client group to become independently mobile. It will also enable you to develop your Continual Professional Development portfolio.
Advanced ADI Course
A one day course for qualified driving instructors who have completed the 3 day ADI course and are looking to further their knowledge and experience in the role of teaching people with disabilities to drive at an advanced level.
This course increases your knowledge of medical conditions and disability and looks at the practical role of driving from a wheelchair in a Hi-Tech vehicle and adaptations in teaching people with disabilities to drive.
