

Course description
You will learn how to repair and service ‘white goods’. These are automatic washing machines, driers, refrigerators and other small appliances.
Pre-entry Requirements
Reasonable standard of numeracy and literacy, plus good manual dexterity. Previous experience not essential, but you will need good colour vision and be able to move large kitchen appliances in confined spaces. A College assessment may be needed. A valid driving licence is also required.

Employment Opportunities:
Very occasionally there are workshop vacancies, but more usually you would expect to work as a white goods service engineer, making between 9 and 10 calls a day to customer's houses for companies such as British Gas, Comet, Service Force, etc.
