

Course description
This course is based on the NVQ Installing & Supporting IT Systems, but it also gives you more ‘hands-on’ experience in upgrading and maintaining computers.
Pre-entry Requirements:
Reasonable standard of numeracy and good comprehension and literacy skills, plus manual dexterity required. You will need to be able to lift and move computer equipment. A College assessment will be undertaken.
Course Content:
Using your IT skills you will learn about fault diagnostics, software installation and support and how to identify and replace defective components.

City and Guilds 4324-01 – Level 1 NVQ for IT Practitioners
City and Guilds 4324-02 - Level 2 NVQ for IT Practitioners
City and Guilds 4324-03 – Level 3 NVQ for IT Professionals
A+ or Net+ training is available for suitable candidates.
Employment Opportunities:
