Team Gold Rush – Raising the bar
On the 5th of October, team Gold Rush from Gold-i took on Rough Runner’s 10K obstacle course which merges distance running and obstacles inspired by all the game shows we love – think Total Wipeout with a dash of Ninja Warrior – to raise money for the Queen Elizabeth’s Foundation for Disabled People (QEF).
As a corporate partner of QEF, money raised will be in aid of their new Care and Rehabilitation Centre, which will provide a state-of-the-art hub of expertise for people with a wide range of disabilities. Using assistive technology, residents will have real control over their surroundings – for example turning on their TV, opening and closing their blinds, and controlling their heating and lighting without help from carers. So far, team Gold Rush has raised over £3000.
