Your Guide to Flying with a Disability

Early in 2017 we are holding three practical events across the UK to support disabled people who are considering travelling by air.
The day is suitable for individual travellers and parents of disabled children who are considering flying together with health care and support professionals who want to guide their service users.

Taking you on a journey by air, step by step.
We guide you through the whole journey by air, from booking to arrival at your destination to reduce stress and help make your journey comfortable. A replica aircraft cabin will be available for you to see and try seating and transfer equipment.
We cover Booking, insurance, safe carriage of your wheelchair, being fit to fly & medicines, hiring equipment abroad, check in & security, boarding the aircraft, managing challenging behaviours, aircraft seating, airport facilities, hidden disabilities & using the toilet.

Join us as we gather with industry experts
Together with Edinburgh Airport we have lined up a range of experts and guest speakers to take you through a journey by air, including airlines, airport ground handling teams, experts on seating, transferring onto the aircraft, insurance and continence.
